The Life of a Twenty-Something...growing up.

This blog will take you through my post-collegiate life, as I embark upon a new career, and face different and often difficult challenges of becoming a young, independent, Pakistani woman in the United States.

It will chronicle my (hopefully short time) moving back home, how I am going to adjust to it after living away for four years....

this should be interesting.

OC Fair…to be a kid again!

Yesterday I went to the OC Fair with my BFF Farida and with Nick.  It was so much fun, eating unhealthy but yummy food, walking around and looking at the booths, laughing about the products that were made to be seem to have been sent from heaven, and of course…catching up with Farida.  It was so weird to remember that the last time the two of us went there was 2 years ago, with Tammy.  We had an incredible amount of fun that day—we walked around, ate a ridiculous amount of food, and just had an overall wonderful day.  Wonderful, carefree day.  We were younger, thoughts of marriage were not as prominent in their minds, and the anxiety of a new career was not on my shoulders, nor was the imminent return to Law School on the mind of Farida.    It’s amazing how much things change in two years, and really wonderful how friendships mature during that period.  We had really good conversations, for which I am totally greatful.

I need to start posting photos on this thing.   The petting zoo was so much fun, I basically dragged Farida and Nick there!  I know, I’m such a kid sometimes.  :)

Also…Emaan, my roommate from Junior year, and my friend since I was 12, got married last night also, to Haseeb.  I am so happy for them and I wish the two of them eternal happiness, insha’allah.
